Time For Change?

Time for change

Good morning everyone

Do you struggle to find true happiness in your life?

Well, I have a secret I learned on how to make life happy and do it being true to yourself. It’s not hard; it just means being true to yourself.

Can you name 10 little things that make you happy?

Here is mine:

  1. My morning coffee & having it on hand when I want it.

  2. Starting my morning off early (6 am sometimes earlier)

  3. Being able to walk by the sea if I feel up to it.

  4. Hallmark movies

  5. My Cozy blanket when I write.

  6. Ice cream

  7. Pineapple & sprite mixed (Yummy)

  8. Having the ability to see my best friends daily

  9. Baklava & coffee for a snack

  10. writing

No, they are not huge but add your 10 little things into your daily routine, and your life will change.

Also, is there something big you like to do?

  1. movies

  2. going shopping

  3. going out to the bar

Make sure you put one-four outings in your month. It will freshen up your life each time you do.

I know it’s hard to believe, but some people are such inverts. They never leave the comfort of their own home other than work. They get stuck in a pattern that makes their life feel dark. I hope this helps, I have tons of tips if anyone is interested in them let me know and I will do another post on them.

Dictating My Words

Good morning everyone!

I spent the whole day writing, but I haven’t forgotten you. I was trying out dictation, I tell you it is a challenge to use transcription.

I laughed so hard when I read what it wrote.

I said,

“She needs to go to the city,” it wrote. “drop her off on the highway, in the middle of the street.”

What the heck, that’s not what I said.

***Sigh*** Anyone knows any useful dictation apps?

I love the idea of telling my story out loud, but it’s like writing it twice, but first, you need to remember word toward what you said because it comes out looking like a different story.

Positive affirmations

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a beautiful day.

Positive affirmations

Life is hard enough without having to look down at ourselves, everyday struggles bring us down. Beating us to the ground, and sometimes we forget our own worthy throughout it all.

Daily reminders are essential, it’s healthy to tell yourself positive things. You matter, believe it or not. We all matter, life is crucial, and each one is an original but none better than the other. We mould ourselves to what is important to us, and others view us to what is important to them.

You matter to me as a person

You are more than a number

You are beautiful if you are kind

You are a painting of your soul

I hope you have the best day ever, you deserve it!

Have a fantastic Friday

Greece Day 5

Hey everyone!

I told you today I would tell you about the hotel, there were a lot of ups and downs about the place, but I want to be truthful with you. If you are looking to go to Greece and are looking for a hotel, then make sure you read this.

I made reservations at the Astor Hotel, online it looked like a wonderful place to stay I was very excited about it. I wanted a vacation where I could tour during the day and in the evening have a relaxing place to write.

https://astorhotel.gr/classic-double/

When we got there the first thing I noticed was the main entrance, the men at the desk did a great job at checking us in. The front area was clean looking, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The elevators were small but very fast, I loved that I didn’t have to be in them for what seemed like forever. The porter was a gentleman and carried up my bags, of course, for a tip.

I stepped into my room, I was exhausted, my feet were sore from travel, and all I wanted to do was sit down in the comfortable room I seen online. It wasn’t like I expected though, there were no comfy chairs in my room, nor was there a writing desk. The kettle for my coffee hardly worked, I had to write in bed because nowhere in the hotel had plug outlets except the room. Now the catch….. (you ready?) NO LIGHTS ON THE CEILING! Yeah, I had to write in the dark, little tiny lamps by the bed. I hate the dark, I don’t mean the night that I love. If you can only imagine the excitement on my face LOL

Anyways I thought okay I will have to get past this, so I went to take a hot bath. Lots of hot water, but the tub was built for an extremely tiny and very short person. I was floored and not impressed by then, but I didn’t let it ruin my vacation.

The hotel has a list of amenities, but there were no drawers for clothes anywhere, the safe was so small you could only throw your passport and money in it. No English tv even though they have cable/satellite and room service is extremely hard to get in that hotel as they are closed most of the day. They did not have any decorative flowers like in the photos, and when you called downstairs, the men at the front only knew one sentence I don’t know.

I got past this all though and enjoyed my vacation with my son. We needed laundry done, though, and the hotel has a laundry service, but no one will give you any information about it until you go to leave. I asked the front desk they told me to talk to the maid who said I don’t speak English. She took my clothes though and didn’t return them until I complained, which was almost 24 hours later and still wouldn’t tell me the cost. (no one would tell me how much it was) I found out as I was leaving the hotel, it was 100 euros (WOW, took me for a ride). No wonder they didn’t tell me, and BTW, the maid, spoke great English after doing my laundry.

So yes, please be careful when choosing a hotel and always do your research. Greece is lovely, but like anywhere, it has its ups and downs.

Oh p.s. no library or games room either, yet it’s listed at the hotel

Greece Day 4

Good morning everyone, day four is all about the food. Next door to the hotel we chose ( I will do the hotel itself tomorrow) there’s a restaurant, I would tell you the name,¬†but¬†it is in Greece (LOL) I can’t write in Greece, but I took a picture of the sign. ( i believe it is¬†Neoklassiko¬†)

Adress: Karagiorgi Serbias 20 & Lekka Syntagma, Athens Greece

http://www.toneoklassiko.gr

The food there is fabulous, I have had donairs and greek food in Canada, but there is something different about the way the actual country makes it.

Perhaps it is because they throw fries in it?

Probably a bit more to it than that, either way, it was delicious! The¬†stuffed peppers¬†were grilled, which I love. I usually like a sauce in my rice when stuffing peppers but the spices they use seemed to carry it just fine..they were fabulous. They had a dish there with similarity to shepherd’s pie, but it was made with whipped cheese, and they used¬†eggplant instead of potatoes. It was delicious, but the texture itself wasn’t my thing.

The whole place smelled great, the service was excellent and delightful. I wasn’t disappointed with it at all.

One thing I noticed though, is that it doesn’t look anything like they make it look on the website, thankfully the food there holds its own.

Later that day, we went back to¬†cookie land,¬†which, like I said before, I highly recommend, especially if you love cappuccinos and dessert. Don’t be afraid to say hello to them they are very friendly there and love visitors from all over the world.
